Overview

VDA vA is a Chrome extension that helps dispatchers speed up quoting and data entry on supported freight/load-board websites by extracting shipment details from pages and autofilling forms based on user actions.

What data we collect

1) Website content (shipment/load details)

When you use the extension on supported freight portals, the extension may read data shown on the page (for example: shipment number, origin/destination, dates/times, equipment type, notes, and other fields displayed on the portal). Depending on features you enable, some of this data may be transmitted to our servers to save records and/or to send notifications you request.

2) Account identifier (personally identifiable information, if applicable)

We may collect and store an account identifier to associate features with your subscription, such as an email address, license key, or a subscription/customer identifier.

3) Local settings

The extension stores user preferences locally in your browser (Chrome storage), such as default inputs, toggles, templates, and UI state.

How we use data

• Autofill and workflow assistance on supported portals
• Saving user-requested shipment-related records
• Sending user-requested notifications

Data sharing and third parties

We do not sell user data.

• vdassist.com servers – to store records and deliver features you request
• Telegram – only if you enable notifications, to deliver messages to your configured chat/channel

Data retention

• Local settings remain in your browser until you clear extension data.
• Server-stored records are retained as needed to provide the service and for troubleshooting, and may be deleted upon request where applicable.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Your choices

• You can disable features that transmit data (such as notifications) and you can uninstall the extension at any time.
• You may request deletion of server-stored data by contacting us.
